WHO WE ARE
A national platform for safer science.
The Biosafety and Biosecurity Association of Uganda (BBAU) is a non-governmental, non-political and not-for-profit professional association.
We provide a national multisectoral forum for practitioners, policymakers, researchers, regulators, educators, communities, institutions and the private sector to share knowledge, strengthen professional practice and advance effective management of biological risks.
From laboratory biorisk management and emerging cyber-biosecurity risks to national policy for High Consequence Agents and Toxins, BBAU members contribute technical expertise and multisectoral collaboration that support Uganda's health security and scientific development.
